Paradise Plaza on 9th or Ocean Hideaway on 18th????

Hi everyone. We are planning on traveling to OC for a week in July and we are still deciding on where to stay. We are a family of 4 adults and a 2 year old. We love to stay on the boardwalk, so we really do not want to go farther north.

Last year we stayed at Paradise Plaza in a dolphin suite that sleeps 8. It has a bedroom with a queen bed and a living room with 2 queen beds and a sleep sofa. It was basically a standard hotel room with an additional bedroom and small bathroom connected to it. It was nice because my husband and I slept in the bedroom with the baby in the crib. But, this year we don%26#39;t know if she will still be in the crib or not which would mean we MIGHT have to all sleep in the living room making it a little more inconvenient because she goes to sleep at 7:30pm. Also, it did not have a kitchen either. But, the location is perfect!!

Ocean Hideaway on 18th is our next choice. It is a 2 Bedroom 2 Bathoom Oceanfront condo. This would be great because having 2 bedrooms, alot more room, and also having a kitchen. The downfall is that there is no pool and it is farther north on the boardwalk. Last year we only used the pool once, but it is nice to have the option anyways.

Has anyone ever stayed at Ocean Hideaway? Was it nice? How was the location? Right now we are leaning towards Ocean Hideaway, but we are afraid to change from Paradise Plaza. We have been staying there for years, but now with 5 of us it gets more difficult to just stay at a hotel. Any suggestions?

Hi Lori,

It has been years since we stayed at the Ocean Hideaway, but we found it to be very convenient and nice. It had a nice size condo Kitchen, not huge, just the right size, and we loved the location also. Like I said it has been years since we stayed there, but we really liked it when we were there. Hope this helps you make a decision.

Thanks for the response. We booked Ocean Hideaway beacause we needed more room than a hotel suite. Hopefully we made a good decision.
