My husband and I love OC Maryland. We only live about an hour away so we go as often as possible. We mostly try to go in the fall and winter months when rates are lower. I called Holiday Inn on 17th street and they told me the cheapest room was $189.00 per night. I said I can%26#39;t believe that in February. The temperatures have been in the teens, most of the stores and resturants are closed. There was no one the boards. My advice is if you like to get away as much as we do you better start now because as soon as peek season starts you won%26#39;t be able to afford to go.
Rate increase already!
Sounds like you%26#39;re getting the rack rate, I wouldn%26#39;t cause a panic and say this is a trend (although it wouldn%26#39;t be surprising if rates are up a few dollars over last year due to natural inflation).
I%26#39;m finding rates of $135 (AAA) there for the weekend, $60 during the week on the HI website.
Rate increase already!Also remember there are special events in town almost every weekend, which brings lots of people into town.
