Eden Roc Motel?

Has anyone ever stayed here? I%26#39;d really appreciate any input? Thanks!

Eden Roc Motel?

Haven%26#39;t stayed there but have relatives that stayed there a few years ago. The motel consists of two buildings-an older oceanblock motel and a more modern oceanfront building with 12 efficiency units (half are oceanfront while the other 6 are non-oceanfront). My relatives stayed in the oceanblock building and said that the room was so dirty that they didn%26#39;t let their kids crawl around on the carpet. They have not stayed at that Eden Roc since that time and wouldn%26#39;t recommend the oceanblock building at all. Last year they stayed at the Dunes Motel and really liked it. Another place that I would highly recommend is the Ocean Mecca, a family-owned and operated motel located around 23rd Street. It is an older motel that has been very well maintained and always seems to be kept squeaky clean. The only negative thing about the place is that only 4 of the rooms are oceanfront. This is one of the few older family owned/operated motels left on the boardwalk that is clean, well-kept, and affordable. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Eden Roc Motel?

The Eden Roc is indeed a relic of early 1950%26#39;s motel design, right down to the color scheme (aquamarine), but is certainly not a pristine example. I would suspect by the exterior that the interior would not updated. I%26#39;d also suspect it won%26#39;t be there much longer.

I stayed at the Eden Roc about 7 years ago. I reserved an ocean front efficiency, but had to stay in the ocean block building one night our first day there. The ocean block room was terrible. It was small, old, dirty, and faced the back of the other building. I was so glad we only had to spend one night there. The ocean front efficiency was much better. It had a small balcony facing the boardwalk and ocean. It could use some updating too, but was okay for us. We did enjoy our stay there. Eden Roc is ok, but only the ocean front efficiencies. Definitely do not stay in the other building.
