Orioles Game in August

We (family of 4) are driving from Boston to see the Red Sox play in Camden Yard on August 11th (Sat) and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions where to stay and what else to do. Thanks.

well, there are tons of hotels within walking distance of the ballpark...

often, the opposing team stays at the ';renaissance'; in the inner harbor...not sure if the red sox do or not though. we went to fenway once to see the orioles play the sox %26amp; stayed in the hotel where the o%26#39;s were ...too much fun to run into the players in the bar after dinner! whether or not, the renaissance is a nice hotel.

the sports legends at camden yards is a VERY nice museum for sports fans...%26amp; i%26#39;m pretty sure the price of admission gets you into the babe ruth museum as well.

and the aquarium is great! there are also some excellent art museums in the area (walters art gallery, baltimore museum of art) and the science center (right in the inner harbor).

or if you like historical sites, fort McHenry is fairly close, as is the Flag House.

There are many hotels right in the Inner Harbor near the stadium. The new Hampton Inn on Greene and Washington Blvd is very nice and literally across a small street from the stadium. It would also be walkable to all of the inner harbor attractions- water front shopping, ESPN Zone, Hard Rock Cafe, Sports Legends Museum, Maryland Science Center and National Aquarium, harbor paddle boats, many restaurants and the Power Plant LIve which is a setting of nightclubs, bars and eateries and in the summer out side music. Other hotels right there are Rennassiance, Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Sheraton[ don%26#39;t know what your price range is}, Holiday Inn on Lombard St [ modest basic hotel ], Days Inn. What ever you decide book soon they fill up fast in summer esp when Sox and Yankees are in town. Lastly you can water or land taxi over to Fells Point which has waterfront dining , antique shopping, bars and pubs.
