when are the seniors visiting in june?

booked the new hilton the 3rd week in june(june 19-22).my family and i are very excited to stay in this new hotel. I was just wondering when do the seniors arrive for senior week? I realize that there probably won%26#39;t be alot of seniors staying here because of the steep price ($309+TAX/NIGHT). Just curious . Any info would help. Thanks

The period between June 9-18 will likely be the peak time you%26#39;ll find recent graduates in O.C. between graduations and summer jobs for high school seniors. But you%26#39;ll certainly find plenty of residual senior activity before and after this timeframe.

The town is careful to avoid any sanctioning of ';Senior Week';--you won%26#39;t find it on any official calendar--but city services (read: police) are beefed up and landlords often have special rules in place (increased security deposits) for rentals throughout the month of June.

BTW, you might be surprised at just how many seniors can afford a $300 room (or how many seniors can cram into one).

I%26#39;d say the major influx of ';June Bugs'; (as the locals like to refer to the high school seniors) is in the first two weeks of June. There will still be some stragglers in town during your visit, but it%26#39;s nothing to be too concerned about.

Also, with the lack of snow days most schools in the mid-Atlantic experienced this winter, I think most schools will be finished by early June and most seniors will be gone by the end of June.

Thank you for all your info. The reason I was concerned is because I have 2 small children, under the age of 5, and I didn%26#39;t want them to be exposed to crazy, loud, drunk seniors. I understand they%26#39;re celebrating their graduation and thats fine with me as long as my children aren%26#39;t exposed to it. Thanks again, hopefully it won%26#39;t be too nuts!

sorry for laughing....

but ';seniors'; these days seems to refer to a person of, um, how can i say it...MY age?

and i can%26#39;t blame you for wanting to avoid a scene of hooting, drunken seniors LOL

FYI-That is the time period of fire/EMS week for the state of Maryland. You will see a huge amount of fire personell and firetrucks/ambulances. There is a huge parade for fire and EMS on the 21st, so your children might enjoy that, also.

BTTT for boulas

I always go with my now 6 year old girl to Holiday Inn and Suites on the Boardwalk, never no problem with the seniors they are tightly watched in the Hilton and Holiday Inn if they stay there at all. I have seen seniors crying getting kicked out of the Holiday Inn because they had illegal booze.

You will be fine

Having lived here for 10 years, I would say that the firemen cause at least as much (or more) drunken hoopla than the seniors!
