Can you please tell me if this is the correct forum for questions on Washington DC (on the East Coast!)

I submitted two queries today but sent them to Washington which appears to be on the West Coast according to the helpful replies I received. I haven%26#39;t been to the USA before and didn%26#39;t realize there were more than one Washington in the USA!!!
