time and miles

We are visiting Philadelphia in late May. Now that we have two extra days we want to go to the ocean. We enjoy scenery, history, and old buildings. What is the easiest way to get to the ocean and the time required, considering the fact that we aren%26#39;t used to driving in large cities, just smaller ones. Also, what would be the must stop and see things along the way? Is Camden, a safe place to drive, don%26#39;t know if we want to go or skip? If another route is faster than going through Camden, we would like to know. Then we need directions to the northern part of DE from the ocean. Thank you for any assistance.

From Philadelphia you%26#39;re much closer to the Atlantic Ocean bordering New Jersey, so I would recommend you post your request in the New Jersey and/or Philadelphia forums.

Similar for your questions about Camden, which is located in New Jersey, not Maryland.

Thank you Irishfan for your reply. The reason I posted in the Maryland post was our daughter saw an attraction she wants to visit in Maryland. Are you from Ireland? Our daughters have visited there and loved it.

The Delaware beaches are nice, Rehobeth, Dewey, and Bethany. This is 2 - 2 1/2 hours from Philly. Take I-95 south from Philly to Route 1 South. Route 1 will take you over toward the beaches off route 113.

Don%26#39;t know Camden. Used to be run down many years ago, but am not sure what it has today.

Thank you Duce 1 for taking the time to reply. We appreciate your directions and the time required to reach the destination. It is much closer to Philadelphia than I thought. Thank you again.
