I have discovered that there was a ';Graubner%26#39;s Restaurant,'; Garrison Lane at Baltimore. Would anyone from the locality have any idea where Garrison Lane might have been? Garrison Lane existed in 1910.
Want to visit a relatives birthplace in the summer and it%26#39;s on her birth certificate as place of birth. If you can%26#39;t help yourself any aid pointing me in direction of someone who can would be appreciated.

Further to Garrison Lane? Baltimore
Further information.
There was a company called Wm Manger, a meat packer, at 84 Garrison Lane.
Further to Garrison Lane? Baltimore
Possible Garrison Lane joined Frederick Avenue?
Also found reference to ';vacant plots'; on North side of Lombard St between Catherine Street and Garrison Lane?
Would this narrow it down?
Ian
I found a picture of Graubners on line:

Sorry, I know that doesn%26#39;t answer your question...
Sorry, I hit send to soon..I know that doesn%26#39;t answer your question but the note on the photo states it is at ';鈥?Graubner%26#39;s Restaurant, Garrison Lane at Baltimore St.';
So apparently Garrsison Lane was quite separate from Garrison Boulevard, which to my knowledge doesn%26#39;t intersect nearly with Baltimore Street further to the south.
I have someone at the Pratt Library who%26#39;s checking the Sanborn Fire Insurance maps of 1914 to get you answer as to the current location of #10. It is in the general vicinity of Gwynns Falls.
Thanks to both of you for your help so far.
Look forward to any further news Tubman!
I have a suspicion that Garrison Lane was in the area of what is now Warwick Avenue.
I have discovered also that the The New Red Line Cable of the City Passenger Railway Company first ran from this area. ';The first car started out from the Western terminus corner of Garrison Lane and Baltimore Street';
Thanks again, Ian
Okay, here%26#39;s your answer:
The good news: The old Garrison Lane is the current Franklintown Road, and #10 is in the first block near the intersection with Baltimore Street. Depending on whether you%26#39;re looking for #10 North or South Franklintown, it would be just on either side of Baltimore Street (the city%26#39;s N/S dividing line), a stone%26#39;s throw from Graubner%26#39;s. This comes from the good folks at the Pratt Library.
And the not so good news, from current state property records: #10 no longer exists, North or South. Judging from the property records and satellite imagery of the area, if I had to guess I%26#39;d say it%26#39;s South (There are no single or double-digits on the north side, and the even side of the street looks too narrow to have held houses). But #12 South is there, I think you can feel confident to claim the space next to it as your hallowed ground. FYI, The church on the corner (#2) was built in 1954, the commercial property (#6) was built in 1920, which is probably when #10 went to property heaven

Have a safe trip!
Tubman,
You are an absolute star!
We are extremely grateful for the work you put in to find this out for us.
Thanks again!
Ian.
