Hi there! We will be attending a cheer/dance competition (www.nlccfinaldestination.com) at the 1st Mariner Arena the first weekend in May, and we need to book about 60 hotel rooms. Any suggestions? We don%26#39;t NEED to stay in the Harbor, we could drive in, or take train, or something. The competition company is recommeding Linthicum. Any suggestions???
thanks so much!

Booking such a large group, I would suggest just staying in the Inner Harbor. You can beat the location with the options of dining for large groups and convenience to the Arena.
-Days Inn Inner Harbor
-Hampton Inn Inner Harbor
-Residence Inn Inner Harbor
Try these out and see what you can get.

You%26#39;re looking for SIXTY rooms. On a weekend. With the Orioles in town, and your event going on at the arena. And it%26#39;s 6 weeks away....you need to be on the phone TODAY with hotels to see if ANYONE has room at this point for a group that large anywhere in the area.
If you don%26#39;t stay near the arena, who did you plan to get the group from the hotel to the arena?
It won%26#39;t be easy getting that many people on public transportation.
Right, thank you for restating the problem that is giving me such stress. It%26#39;s a type of competition where you have to qualify, so we didn%26#39;t win the bids to it until last Sunday, five days ago.
The only options that we are faced with right now is staying in different hotels, and spreading our group, unless anyone could tell me a better plan. For example, if you were coming to my city and could not stay downtown, I could tell you four suburban areas within 15 miles where you could stay and drive down.
iheartEurope...
Look at Timonium...

A surburban location north of Baltimore...but on the light rail.
They have a Days Inn with 145 rooms...A Red Roof Inn...a Holiday Inn with 245 rooms...
There%26#39;s plenty of shopping and food nearby...and the easy light rail ride is fairly pleasant...
You could stay at one of the airport hotels { which is Linthicum } . Check out the BWI website for links. The lightrail is there that will take you into downtown to the arena. Also check out the hotels at the HuntValley light rail station. Very nice suburban area., safe, with a nice shopping area and lots of restaurants and eateries. The later would be your best bet I think.
Check out the White Marsh area (about 15 minutes from Baltimore).

Hilton Garden is nice.
Good luck,
Greg
Good recommendation on White Marsh. Right next to 95 and there is a Hampton Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn right next to each other. One could possible accomodate the overflow from the other.
