Help for this weekend

Hi,

My boyfriend and I decided just today we%26#39;d like to go away this weekend, and have always wanted to go to Ocean City. I know it%26#39;s not near prime season, but the weather%26#39;s supposed to be fairly nice on Saturday. We will be driving from NJ so I don%26#39;t want to come so far if there won%26#39;t be some things to do, at least besides admiring the beach views. My main concern about coming now is what will be open on the boardwalk? I%26#39;m not sure if things open on set dates or if it%26#39;s nice enough out. Just don%26#39;t want to arrive and find out the boardwalk and other attractions are mostly still closed for the off season...

If the weather is really nice on Saturday, then there will be a fair amount of shops, game booths and restaurants open on the boardwalk. The two amusement park ride areas usually don%26#39;t start to operate until the early May. Elsewhere in OC there will be lots of mini golfs open if the weather is nice along with one of the three major go-cart facilities, Baja Amusements, located just across the Rt. 50 bridge in West Ocean City.

If you are of legal drinking age and want to do some partying then all the major bars and restaurants like Seacrets, Fager%26#39;s Island, The Greene Turtle, Buxy%26#39;s Salty Dog Saloon, The Purple Moose (to name a few) are open all year.

Help for this weekend

I think you%26#39;ll find pretty much everything open except for the amusement parks and warm weather-based activities like water slides.

If you think OCMD might be your sort of place in the middle of summer, it%26#39;s also a good excuse to scout it out now while it%26#39;s not so crowded.

Let me know when you get back next week how your trip was and what was open. My family and I will be going over Easter weekend also. I too was wondering what will be open on the boards. I would think if the weather is nice then most shops will be open, will see.

I agree with you that the weather will decide more or less what%26#39;s open, but I will post what the boardwalk is like this weekend for you next week. Np.
