Hotels in August

I am going to Ocean City the first week in August and am having trouble finding a decent, yet affordable hotel. I would prefer to stay oceanfront but bayfront would be fine too. Any suggestions? Also, anyone have reviews for the Seabonay Motel, Dunes Motel, or Bay Sails Inn???

Hotels in August

pand418,

also try looking for condos...just do a search on Ocean city,md condos..August is %26#39;prime%26#39; season so if u find anything it will be $$$..

we will be there the same time..

never been to any of the places u looked at, though, The last one,Bay Sails Inn is as its name says bayside. This location is right next to the %26#39;Northern%26#39; entrance(60th st.bridge) of O.C. That side, if you are going to the beach you have to cross the main Hwy that runs Nth-Sth in O.C. With the bridge traffic you will have a hectic time crossing to get to the beach. Just a hint if you r bringing %26#39;little ones%26#39; here...

Enjoy O.C.Md

Hotels in August

We%26#39;re staying at the Bay Saild Inn the last week of July. Our first trip to Ocean City, MD -- not sure how it will be; have read mixed reviews, but we%26#39;re taking our chances!

Will be sure to post a review upon our return!

DO NOT go to the Seabonay. Its website and brochure are deceiving. It is dirty, run down and you share your ';waterview balcony'; with everyone else on the floor. We had to put a towel down on the floor to cover the carpet tacks and not cut our feet at night and our non-smoking room was full of cigaretted burns.

Of the three options you listed I would vote for the Dunes.

Located at the northern end of the Boardwalk oceanfront. Has a good reputation.

The Seabony forget it.

The Bay Sails Inn located on 60th street and the bayside nice location and views if you have a bayside view but last time I stayed there is was alittle run down.

You also have located right next door the Best Western Sea Bay Inn outdoor pool, clean, affordable.

Some others you might look into Flamingo, Rodeway Inn.

Why not run your travel dates through one of the many sites checking availability and then come back here with your options.

First week in August what would the dates be?

Take a look at the Econo Lodge, 146st/Oceanside(on the del/md border). They have a pool with poolside service for drinks/food, and its next door to the best rib/steakhouse in OC, Nick%26#39;s. Walking distance to the beach. The beach is not too crowded. Without a doubt it%26#39;s the best kept secret in OC. If you are traveling with kids, walking distance to two mini-golf%26#39;s, and go-karts. Enjoy OC!!!
