So we go to OC for a quick weekend getaway. Of course it was cloudy and overcast on Sat. Finally got to see the sun around 3:30 but it was time to head to Seacrets so no laying in the sun for us.
Enjoyed Seacrets as usual and listened to Jim Long butcher most of the songs but that%26#39;s half the fun.
Decided we had enough fun at Seacrets and headed for the bus stop. !st bus too full, 2nd bus too full.... walked to hotel at 28th st
By now we have worked up a real thirst. Took a peak into Coins but it was packed. As we walked along I notice an empty bar called Mother%26#39;s Cantina. Basically had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a few more cold ones. They have a restaurant attached so we ordered some food to go. Got the beef quesadillas and 2 oders of their sante fe rolls. Very very good. The place is your basic watering hole, has a few tv%26#39;s and the bartender was really nice.
So if you%26#39;re looking to get away from the crowds you may want to check this place out. http://www.motherscantina.com/index.html
It%26#39;s located at 28th st and Coastal Hwy.
Mother's Cantina
How was Secrets? I never make it there until a few hours into miller time and a drunk bus ride down. Is it worth going during for say Happy Hour?
Trying to find some HH places near 72st or wherever. Ill try out Mothers Cntina if down in that area.
Mother's Cantina
We always enjoy Seacrets. But at the same time we go during the day and into early evening. Once the sun goes down it gets just too crowded for us. The drink specials always seem to be something that I don%26#39;t drink but it doesn%26#39;t really matter to much because we figure we%26#39;re on some sort of vacation and the price doesn%26#39;t really bother us.
Now I will say that if you%26#39;re gonna buy a t-shirt or something, do it before you start drinking. There%26#39;s nothing like drunk shopping...I know, my wallet was $140.00 lighter after picking up 2 sweatshirts, and 4 shirts....ouch!
