Has anyone stayed here recently? All the reviews I read are bad, but old. They are supposed to be under new management, and renovated? Has anyone had a good experience? It seems though every hotel I look at on here only has bad reviews(other than the way to expensive Hilton) and some of the hotels with bad reviews, I have stayed at, and they were not that bad! I just have to wonder if for the most part only people with bad experiences get on here, so maybe 10 bad reviews aren%26#39;t as bas if I don%26#39;t get to read the few thousand good ones? Please help!
Harrison Hall Hotel
I don%26#39;t know too much about Harrison Hall other than the apparence from outside. It does look old, only a front balcony to share with other vacationers and the pool is in the back of the building. I know their room prices are not as high as other beachfront hotels but like they say, ';you get what you pay for';.
As for other people%26#39;s reviews, they can be mis-leading. I%26#39;ve stayed at places that I thought were just fine but others ripped them with bad reviews.
Harrison Hall Hotel
I stayed her maybe 4 years ago and old or not--LOVED IT!!! Yes the elevator was slow, parking can be a hassle, but that might have changed since then.
The room was nice, ac worked great, employees were great, and the porch facing the ocean was wonderful!!! Plus you cannot beat the location!
Give it a try and have fun!
It is an older hotel (built in 1951), so the rooms are small compared to today%26#39;s standards. I think that some of the rooms have been redone and some have not yet been redone. This is how it is at the Quality Inn Boardwalk, where we usually stay, which is also owned by the Harrison Group. The Quality Inn started renovating the rooms in the tower building on a gradual basis starting in 2003 and have now moved on to the rooms in the main building. If you can get a newly renovated room at the Harrison Hall you should be okay. Don%26#39;t expect it to be the Ritz Carlton or any other 4 or 5 star luxury resort. Let me know if you have any other questions.
We stayed there 3 summers ago and it was fine. The elevator is slow but it%26#39;s only 5 stories. Rooms are small but it was fine for myself and two teenage boys. A/C worked great, room was clean and cleaned well everyday ( trick to extra clean rooms and extra goodies is leaving a small tip everyday, no matter where you stay ) Staff was very nice and I loved the big front porch to sit and watch all the folks on the boardwalk. Pool was nice, clean and had a small tiki bar with drinks available.
I thought it was a great place and stay especially for the cost per night.
Would still say there only I have since purchased a timeshare down at Boardwalk One.
