Annapolis Kid Friendly Restaurant

We are going for a day trip to Annapolis with another family. Between both families we will have 5 kids ranging in age from 3 to 7. What are some options for dinner that will give us adults the opportunity to enjoy a good meal but remains kid friendly.

Thanks!

In Annapolis, we have the typically kid friendly chains: Chuck Cheese, Fudruckers, Applebees, Tuesdays, Fridays, Baja Fresh, Five Guys (best burgers in town), etc. But I kinda got the impression that this was not what you were looking for.

Non-chain choices might include Adam’s Ribs, Buddy’s (although a tourist trap it is very kid friendly – free under 12, I think), 3 Brothers – Italian / Pizza, Ledo’s Pizza, Mike’s Crabhouse, and Chis’s Charcoal Pit. There are probably some others but those come to mind first.

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, we would like to stay away from the chains. A great local spot that is kid friendly would be ideal!

My kids like The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant, even though it%26#39;s a chain. Red, Hot %26amp; Blue for BBQ, just over the Severn, is kid-friendly (i.e., noisy). A great local place that has picnic tables outside, in Edgewater, is Davis%26#39; Pub. Good travels!

Toro Bravo, on West Street, is a great place to go with kids; it%26#39;s been under renovation for a few months but is supposed to re-open the end of June. We always go to Riordan%26#39;s, opposite the Market, when our cousins are here with their three kids- it%26#39;s a bar, but it has a kid%26#39;s menu and the staff is very child-friendly. (great crab soup, also). 49 West, a coffee house on West Street, is also very good; they have waffles, bagels, sandwiches, etc. They%26#39;re open from about 7 am through midnight.

Some people will tell you that Chick and Ruth%26#39;s Deli is a good choice- I%26#39;m a native New Yorker, and believe me, it%26#39;s no delicatessen. Skip it.

Even though Buddy%26#39;s is not my personal favorite I think it would be the perfect choice for you. Kids love it and you%26#39;ll have a view of the City Dock if you can get a table by the window. Their prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is right in the heart of all the action. Not a chain restaurant at all! The only problem might be finding a parking place so just head for the parking garage. After you eat you can walk around the Historic District. It%26#39;s a fun town.
