OC condo with flexible stay dates

I am planning on traveling to Ocean City, MD for mid-September. I usually go for one week with family during that month each year, but this year%26#39;s plan is going to have to be different. My family and I are not available to get there until 9/17 (unless I would go by myself). This is a Monday, and we want to stay for one full week. We definitely want to go during Sun Fest, so the week we%26#39;re looking at is 9/17 until 9/24. Has anyone rented a condo in OC beginning on a week day, or has anyone looked into this and not been able to find anything? Any suggestions on 2 bedroom suite hotels is appreciated (but I don%26#39;t want to get into $400 a night, when a condo during Sept. is generally $500-$1000).

I have emailed a few realtors to see what is possible, but thought I would ask about this here, too.

Sorry, no specifics, but in addition to putting your request in with a few realtors, I%26#39;d put something on Craigslist. Condo owners that are firm about the Saturday or Sunday weekly rental cycle in season are more flexible in the off-season. Most start renting and pricing by the weekend to match changing demand that time of year and those units are often empty during the week.

So look for properties renting for the weekend of 9/21-9/23. When you get some results, find out if the property is also available for the weekdays preceding (17-20) and day after (24); if it is, you%26#39;ll likely be able to negotiate a good deal for the additional days. Or book a condo for the weekend, and take advantage of the off-season weekday rates at a hotel to fill in the gap.
