The Golden Sands

Hello all. I am an OC novice: have been going for many years...always stayed at The Seawatch...want to try something new.

How is the golden sands?

The Golden Sands

it is nice. I have stayed at both. The pros would be the pool bar/grill, icecream shop that are pool/ocean side rather than through the building. There are tables available as well to sit at. A con would be fewer elevators and depending on if you need more than one parking spot. Sea Watch can accomidate more parking if you need it. To my knowledge the goldan sands can not.

We always look at cbvacations. com to view the rooms before we book.

We stayed at Golden Sands last year and were very pleased with all the amentities on site. I agree with the previous poster regarding the parking spaces though, they only give you 1 and the elevators are extremely slow. The outdoor bar %26amp; grill was very convenient for lunch and also for a drink while the kids played shuffle board. The sundeck is huge with tons of seating. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll be disappointed with Golden Sands, make sure you book thru cbvacations so you can check out pictures of the condo before you book it. BTW coldwell banker has an office on site for check in.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate it!

Hello all -

I am new to the North OC area and was looking at the Sea Watch as an awesome place, but the only drawback being the single parking space - would someone be kind enough to tell me if the ';buy more parking'; is available even throughout August? [I saw that they said the parking would be sold ';when available'; and I was wondering if there usually was the availability...]

Thank you,

Andy

I am an owner at Sea Watch. There will be space available for another vehicle in August. However, you will need to pay the parking fee for the second vehicle too. You will love Sea Watch it is a fabulous condo.

Thank you so much! I sincerely appreciate conveying that information to me, especially since we%26#39;d never been there before...if possible, would you be able to tell me what the actual breakdown of the cost is (per week, per vehicle)? Also, if it comes down to us bringing a third vehicle, would it be at all possible to buy a parking pass for that third vehicle?

It%26#39;s awesome to talk to the owner of the place...since we%26#39;re chatting now, can you tell me about the mall %26amp; shopping? Is it in walking distance?

Thanks again,

Andy

The Gold Coast shopping mall is directly across the street. It has a supermarket, pharmacy, movie theater, several restaurants, and a number of small shops. Other shopping is also within an easy walk of a block or two.

As for the parking, for 2007 from Memorial Day weekend through September 30th, the cost of a parking pass is $30 per vehicle. Although Sea Watch guarantees you one parking spot per unit, getting more spots in August will not be a problem.

The only time spots are restricted is when a lot of the condo owners in the builiding using the spots. There has never been an isssue in August and you will be able to purchase three parking passes. The convenience of using the parking garage as well as the 24 hour security make it worthwhile.
