How crowded does it get? I read about the ponies. Anything interesting nearby on the other islands?
Assateaque State Park
We have been to Assateaque (sp?) a few times and it is a really nice place to go and see the ponies/horses but be warned.....it can get REALLY ';buggy'; if you get out of your vehicle. We have always visited in the summer months so that might be why we have encountered so many bugs! Also please note.....they do ask for a ';donation'; of $10.00 per car when you enter.

I%26#39;ve been camping at Assateaque for over 20 years. It is usually
very buggy ! There are nice bike trails , fishing/ crabbing and Ocean City is very close with lots to do. Bring bug spray and a screened room if you are camping. Reserve early.
