Place to watch Preakness--can't get tickets

We will be in Washington DC this weekend and just realized that it is the same weekend as the Preakness (big racing fans). We are not able to get tickets so would like any suggestions on where a fun and exciting place to watch the race and still be part of the excitement would be. Thanks!!!!

If you want to rough it in the infield there are always people peddling tickets right outside the gates :-)
