Light rail vs. Driving question

My husband and I will be driving from Binghamton NY (abt 5hrs). I was thinking of stopping in Ambler, PA (outside of Philly) on the way down, spending the night there, and then continuing into Inner Harbor Baltimore. We will be going to the Orioles game, and will probably fit in what attractions we can during a short stay. We%26#39;ve neve been to Baltimore.

So, questions! Would we be better off driving in, or parking somewhere north on the Light Rail line and taking the train in? How confusing is driving? Would we be better off at a hotel at Camden Yards or Harbor View? How soon do I need to get tickets for the June 9 game?

I appreciate any help. I tried to plan a trip for my husband%26#39;s birthday in April and it fell through. I want to make this special for him.

Light rail vs. Driving question

I don%26#39;t think public transportation is worth your effort in Baltimore. If you get a hotel in the Inner Harbor area, you will have no problem walking to the game. If you don%26#39;t want to walk, cabs are available (though pricier than NYC).
