Holiday Inn Inner Harbor - Advice?

I am booked at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbor for two nights in July. We are planning on going to an Oriole game one night. We like to walk around, and are planning on walking to the Inner Harbor one day and staying into the evening.

Is the walk from Holiday Inn to Inner Harbor very long, and is the area nice enough to feel safe walking there, both during the day and night?

I have a free night at the Holiday Inn, hence my desire to stay there.

Any advice would be helpful.

It%26#39;s 0.2 mile to the ballpark and 0.4 mile to the water. Very close, and a safe walk.

There are nicer places to stay, but definitely not for the price you%26#39;re paying :)
