The Hilton

I was just reading the recent reviews posted for the Hilton and cannot believe the most recent is a terrible review stating that the hotel is unsafe, as the reviewer tells the story of how her suite was robbed of all of her luggage and her purchases made on a previous day of shopping.

She states that the hotel takes no responsibility for her stolen items even though they have a record of the exact time her room was last accessed - by housekeeping - and exactly which member of housekeeping it was that accessed her room!

This just seems so outrageous to me. How founded do you think these claims are? (By ';you'; I mean anyone who has stayed at and/or is familiar with the Ocean City Hilton)

The Hilton

I%26#39;m a single female who travels a good deal for business I was down the beach for a business show last month and stayed at the Hilton I felt very safe and at one point I could not get my laptop to work and they sent in a IT gentleman to try and help me Felt very comfortable with him in my room He was aware of being in a room with a single woman and could not have been more respectfull. I stay 90 % of my travel in Hilton Family Brands and love them

The Hilton

Hi Elaine,

I would DEFINITELY consider security a problem at the Hilton. I stayed there last May and could not believe the lack of security. The parking garage was a total hangout for nonguests on the weekend. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there, let alone any belongings.

The worst was on check out day. The staff left my bill IN THE HALLWAY!!!! with identifying information. I have stayed at many hotels who slip the bill under the door on check out, but never in public view. I complained to the manager and Hilton itself. I still have not received a followup from the property manager.

Bottom line...if you stay at the Hilton, watch your back in the parking garage and don%26#39;t leave valuables anywhere. There is no one willing to help or even listen if something happens.

That is a shame that a robbery in the Hilton could happen with no security what so ever. And you would think the Hilton would have the best security because it is such a huge hotel. That%26#39;s why I stay at the Tidelands Caribbean Hotel and Street on 5th St. Great Location and Great Security!!!
