We are looking for a clean comfortable resort with outstanding pools and activities for the kids.We like the easy access to hte beach and my kids love the poolside activites and water parks.
So we need the best of both worlds CLEANLINESS IS A MUST. We read a lot of horror stories through reviews.
Thanks,MikeyV.

Mikeyv,
We booked the Hilton for our first trip to O.C. (coming up in June). Did you check it out at all? It has an awesome pool that looks like it is geared toward children and is located directly on the beach. All of the rooms are oceanfront.
Most of the reviews for it have been outstanding, however, the one posted most recently tells of how the guest%26#39;s suite was left accessible to EVERYONE by housekeeping which ended in her being robbed of all of her things - luggage, clothing, jewelry, and purchases made while shopping at the outlets. That is a terrible story, and is the only reason I am now thinking twice about my reservations!
In any case, it is the best hotel we found in our search of a place to stay and I thought I%26#39;d share what I know.

The Francis Scott Key Motel is WONDERFULL for families with kids! We just came back from a weekend there and our 5 year old and 8 year old daughters loved the Caribean / Pirate themed Indoor Pool. They have a shuttle to the beach in the summer and an Outdoor Pool (with a pool bar for the adults) a good playground for the kiddies and it%26#39;s decently priced.
If you want to go closer in town, I would look at the Kings Arms Motel...it%26#39;s clean, cheap, right near waterparks, one block from the beach and has an outdoor pool......
The only hotels that I know of that have lazy rivers, slides, buckets of water dropping on you, water squirters and toys to play on are the Comfort Suites located in West Ocean City, Holiday in 17th Street, and the Hilton on 31st? The only bad thing about the Comfort Suites is that it isn%26#39;t directly on the beach, the others are. Hilton is a resort that is directly on the beach, and so is Holiday Inn. Both are beautiful hotels. I have never stayed at them before, but they are nice but very expensive. There rooms have jacuzzi%26#39;s and have two or three room suites. The only bad thing about the Hilton is that they have a bad security problem of what I just read on reviews. I would probably go to the Holiday Inn because it is safer. You might also want to check out Tidelands Caribbean Hotel and Suites on 5th St, Oceanfront on the boardwalk. Great Location, it has 2 pools and in the suites they have a jacuzzi tub in each room. Two room suites with a kitchenette. Pool Bar and Grill serving great food that is open to the public. Room Service if needed. The pool isn%26#39;t open to the public, only hotel guests. Kids enjoy that hotel and they are always playing music. All of the hotels that I listed have very clean rooms (Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Suites, Hilton Resort, and Tidelands Caribbean. I think the Hilton and Holiday Inn have tennis courts and a play ground. They both have fitness rooms. Hope this helps!
