Best beach resort MD, DE, VA

I am planning my wedding anniversary to be at a beach resort in MD, VA or DE. I want some suggestions from u guys on some good beach resorts. I havent been to any beaches in this region. So I know nothing. The perfect vacation for me would be a good ocean front hotel.. and a clean beach. Some night life and restaurants nearby wud be great. I am looking for a beach which doesnt get too crowded over the weekends too.

Please give me ur ideas.. I wud to luv to hear from each one of you.

How old are you?

When do you plan to visit?

Night life? What a few drinks, some live music, or dancing on the tabletops?

Price range what do you plan to pay for a room per night?

Finally what types of food, casual, fine dining?

There are several nice beach areas up and down the coast.

Rehobeth- smaller area, good selection of places to eat, shopping,

Ocean City- largest beach rersort in the area, many different types of places to eat, 2.5 mile long Boardwalk, very crowded in season June-Sept, lots of activities,

Virginia Beach- longest trip, middle of the road in size, for my money the least desirable destination

You also have Bethany Beach in Del. a smaller beach community

And even though you did not mention NJ you have Cape May with plenty of places to eat, nice location, and a ferry ride over to the resorts in Del. and MD
