My wife and I want to book a room at the Tidelands Caribbean Hotel but they are currently closed and their On-Line reservations is not a secure site so I am leary to book through that.

According to their website, they%26#39;re undergoing fairly extensive renovations throughout the hotel. But they are booking rooms online beginning February 15, so presumably they%26#39;ll be open for business then. Have you called the phone number on the website?

Most of the hotels/motels open mid April but generally start taking reservations late Feb or March. Word of advice, be very very careful in booking on line. What you see is not always what you get. Try call the hotel motel association/chamber of commerce for referrals.

The Tidelands doesn%26#39;t open until February 10. The toll-free number for reservations is 1-877-ENJOY-OC. I would recommend calling this number to make reservations instead of doing so online.
