Transport from Airport to the Harborplace

Hi,

We will be arriving at Baltimore airport and need some advice on the best and safest method of travelling to our hotel on the harbor place. Also if we chose to take a taxis what would the price be.

Kind regards,

Bill

I would definitely do a taxi, should be only around $20.00 or so

Supershuttle does a nice job of taking people to and from BWI. Their website is http://supershuttle.com. They should be able to give you an fare estimate on-line. Also, does your hotel have an airport shuttle? You might want to check and see. It could save you some money.

Bill,

Multiple Taxi travelers pay per ride, up to 4 people per cab...Shuttle travelers pay per person, so it it almost always a better deal to take the cab. Taxis are also ';private';...Shuttles jam as many in as possible. Current estimates show the taxi fare to be $23 into Baltimore....

BWI Airport uses a private and well kept Taxi service that serves only the airport...Highly recommended.

Thanks for all of the advice, however I%26#39;ve been told that the taxis out to the airport from the city are approximately $25 but from the airport into the city its over double at $60, can this be true for arriving visitors.

Regards,

Bill

Most taxi rides from BWI airport are required to be metered. The current estimated meter fare to hotels in the Inner Harbor area is now $28; it would only be substantially more if traffic is extremely heavy and the ride winds up taking much longer than the normal ~15 minutes.

I can%26#39;t imagine a driver would risk their license to operate by overcharging, but if you%26#39;re charged a flat rate (illegal for trips within Maryland) or more than what%26#39;s on the meter, you%26#39;ll want to get the driver%26#39;s name and license number (which should be visible in the taxi) and a receipt.

Thanks for the advice on the taxis fares, for a few extra dollars its a cab instead of the Super Shuttle, door to door and no sharing.

Regards,

Bill
