Suggestions for weekend trip to Western Maryland?

I%26#39;m looking to take a weekend trip somewhere in Western Maryland, and I%26#39;d prefer if it wasn%26#39;t more than 2 hour drive from DC.

We want to go this coming weekend, and would like to do some nature-heavy activities (hiking, walking around).

Any recommendations on where we should go?

New Germany State Park (cabins)

Cunningham Falls State Park (stay in Thurmont or Liberty Resort)

Not in Maryland, but within 2 hours of DC:

Cacapon State Park, West Virginia (lodge)

Harpers Ferry, West Virginia (B%26amp;Bs, hotels)

Shenandoah National Park (lodge)
