Hampton Inn Baltimore - Camden Yards

Hey everyone..

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip down to Baltimore on the weekend of 07/20-22. We want to stay near the BCC and Inner Harbor.

Our top choice for hotels is way too expensive that weekend and we%26#39;re not going to bother.

We%26#39;ve narrowed our choices down to the 2 Hampton Inns near the BCC: Hampton Inn on Redwood Street or Hampton Inn at Camden Yards.

I *think* the Camden Yards one is brand new..and so far we have not been able to find ANY reviews on it. The one on Redwood St. looks nice and *looks* like it%26#39;s close to both the convention center and the Inner Harbor area. The price difference is insignificant....which is why we%26#39;re so on the fence about picking one.

So my question is...at around $219-$229/night, is it safer to go with the tried and true (Redwood St) or the new and new (Camden Yards)? Has anyone even stayed at the new Hampton yet? Any help/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Yes, I did, after a recent ( and sadly losing effort!) Ravens game. The Hampton Inn is fantastic, brand new place. I%26#39;m not sure what the ';BCC'; is, but the Hampton is literally 30 second walk to the Camden Yard gate. Also right next door to a couple of local watering holes (Pickles, Sliders) and maybe that would present some noise issues in the summer.

The Redwood Street location would be much closer to the Inner Habor.

They are both great locations and within easy walking distance to all the harbor sites and activities as well as Camden Yards. The redwood street location is in a beautiful old restored building, the Camden Yards one is in a new free standing building. The redwood street one will be more quiet at night, the Camden one is near many of the pre-post game bars.

They both look very nice from the outside!!

Enjoy!!

We stayed t the new Hapton Inn at Camden Yard for the RedSox series in April. The staff was pleasant, the location was great.

We have stayed at other hotels, many of which are wonderful, but for a short trip to catch a game, I will stay here without hesitation.

The breaksfast buffett was typical of a Hampton, nothing fancy, but plenty of food.
