Going to OC in July, few ????

The last time I was in OC was senior week 1994, so it has been a while!! So, what is fun to do for 3 marrieds in their 30%26#39;s? Is the weather really rainy in July? What is a must see/do/eat?? If we go to Seacrets at night to have a few Pain in the a** drinks, will we be the oldest people there? Does the bus run up to 60th street, that is where we will be staying. Any rec./advise would be greatly appreciated!!! TIA!!!

Going to OC in July, few ????

JDP:

Boy you certainly have waited a long time since your last visit.

I would say you have to hit the Boardwalk for a visit in the afternoon and check out the sights.

You can spend some time at the beach if that is to your liking.

Food well you have a chance for good food three times per day.

Beakfast try the Bayside skillet located in the 70%26#39;s on the bayside in the PINK building. You can%26#39;t miss it. Crepes, oversize omelets and fresh juice not the average breakfast place.

There4 is a bagel place in the 70%26#39;s also right next to the post office they make breakfast sandwiches and bagels if you are in the mood.

If you are looking for lunch try Fager%26#39;s Island at 60th at the bayside.

Good food and great views along the bay.

Fager%26#39;s also has a fine dining section upstairs for a memorable night of eating and sightseeing over the bay.

Fager%26#39;s also has a large club area for a few of those drinks at night close to where you are staying.

Dance floor, live music and DJ all in one place.

You could make a trip to the outlets in Rehobeth for some tax free shopping if that interests you.

Make a trip to ASSATEAGUE to see the wild ponies and the views of the national park.

Take a fishing trip in the bay or out into the ocean.

Ride the OC Rocket huge speed boat for a spin around OC.

The weather is fine just what your luck brings you. But in July you should have a good chance for some nice beach weather.

The bus runs up and down the entire lenght of the Coastal Highway.

Inlet to 144th street.

Seacrets is on 49th and you are styaing at 60th just a 10 block stroll or you could take the bus or hop a cab Seacrets has a cab stand at the front entrance.

There is a bus stop right at 60th at the Sea Bay Inn.

Seacrets has a crowd from 21 to 101 you make your own party no sense worrying about how old you are or those others visiting that night. ENJOY!

Also for food:

BJ%26#39;s at 75th and the bay. Try the seafood potato skins!

Reflections for fine dining at the Holiday Inn at 67th.

Coins at 28th for comfortable place to eat either lunch or dinner bar and eating lots of locals hang out here for afforadable place to visit.

And Anthony%26#39;s on 30th for a ';hoagie'; as you folks like to call them for a lunch time meal on the run.

Many years ago I attended IUP and still remember find a Sheetz hoagie late at night after having a few drinks in my college days.

Hope this helps. Anything else just ask.

Have a great time and be safe.

Seacrets in the afternoon is alot of fun also! Here%26#39;s the restarants we like: HOOPERS, HARPON HANNAS, MACKY%26#39;S ,SUNSET GRILL,

HARBORSIDE,( ATLANTIC STAND)- for burgers!

There is plenty to do for your age group. I%26#39;ve been going to OC every year since I was 8 years old.

Seacrets during the day is better. (less crowded, hang out in the water with your drink)

Paddock/Big Kahuna/Part Block (17st) 3 bars in one building

Purple Moose on the boardwalk (Classic rock music) tends to be a 30 plus crowd

Plim Plaza pool bar is nice-live bands good food (I wouldn%26#39;t stay there though)

Food-

Anthony%26#39;s and Doughroller are a must for lunch.

Thrasher%26#39;s fries for a snack

Phillips seafood buffett, but there are other that are just as good

You could jet ski for a afternoon, boat ride, shop on the boardwalk, enjoy some amusement rides, ride bikes in the morning on the boardwalk, and so on. There is so much to do, grab the many papers or flyers with the ads for ideas at your hotel lobby.

Thanks everyone!! I know it has been a while since OC, I have been traveling abroad and to AI instead of more local trips so I also wanted to plan on the $$$ factor too. Thanks again!!
