Condo's....are any of these nice?

Hi everyone!

I need some help. I am trying to find a nice and moderately priced condo to stay in with my husband and two children. We have been given choices of Harbour Club and Bay Watch 2 on the bay side and Atlantis, Quay and Antiqua on the ocean. I don%26#39;t really have a preferrence of ocean or bay, I just want the nicest out of our choices.

I Really appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!

Sorry, I have never stayed at any of the condos you mentioned. But we have stayed at the Pyramid %26amp; Golden Sands which were both nice. Golden Sands is very kid friendly and they also have an indoor pool so the kids still have something to do if it rains. We always book thru cbvacations dot com. You might want to check it out.

Good Luck.

Have stayed at the Quay about 5 years ago. Very nice! But it is the midst of many high rise condos side by side. The beach can get very crowded there in the summer. But of course the beach is crowded everywhere in OC in the summer.

We have stayed in many different condos in OC for the last 20 years. I think they are the best buy for your money. I would strongly suggest ocean side just for the convenience of not having to cross coastal highway and the easy access to the beach. If you do this you can go out in the morning before breakfast and set out your umbrella and chair so that you have a nice piece of beach. Then go back to your room and have breakfast. No one will bother your stuff, lots of people do this, an advantage of ocean side. We have not stayed in any of the ones you mention, but are familiar with them. They are all decent buildings.

If you are not doing this thru a timeshare you should check out Coldwell Banker http://www.cbvacations.com/

We have stayed at both the Atlantis %26amp; the Pyramid. The Atlantis was nice - especially for the price, although all of the condo prices seemed to have skyrocketed for this upcoming year. The Atlantis has an enclosed balcony, so if you have small children, this is nice - you don%26#39;t have to worry about them, but if they want to see out they have to get up onto the higher chairs because the bottom half of the balcony is just a wall, not a window. I myself prefer an open balcony. The Pyramid was very nice - rooms were newer, very clean %26amp; the condo as a whole %26amp; the pool was very nice. I know that the English Towers is also nice according to a friend, but I have not stayed there myself. We always stay beachside so I do not know about any of the Bayside places. Good luck!

The last responder mentioned English Towers, so I thought I%26#39;d affirm that it%26#39;s a nice place. I%26#39;ve been there numerous times over a dozen or so years (but I%26#39;m not a renter). It has direct oceanfront units and bay side (those are the 3 bedrooms I believe). Either side has huge balconies.

Very convenient to walk right out on beach, indoor heated pool, which is always nice when you want a change from ocean or the weather in unfriendly. Also has a little game room.

Have fun.

Hi there . Try the sea watch. Ocean front condos....kid friendly...very affordable, all amenities.

I%26#39;m going to try the golden sands this year for a change of pace.

Thank you everyone for the information! I appreciate your input.

I stayed at the Antigua for my 5th birthday (don%26#39;t ask me how I remember something 13, almost 14 years ago) and I remember it being REALLY nice. In fact, I still watch the home movies, and it IS nice! We stayed at the Quay last year and it was nice. I remember the people at the desk being real jerks about things... They lock the doors during the day and you have to use your room key to get in (I think) and we didn%26#39;t always have ours. They were very annoyed to have to open the doors. They also were rude about 1 extra parking spot and the big bins on wheels you use to take all your crap to your room. They make you give them your drivers license.. I guess because people don%26#39;t bring them back? LOL.. I don%26#39;t know why you%26#39;d keep it. They also claim to have a %26#39;game room%26#39; which consists of 2 ping pong tables.. and the balls are $0.25-$0.50 each. I%26#39;m not sure which. Other than this, the Quay was fine. Nice pool, private sundeck, very nice. You might want to look into Golden Sands which is right next to the Quay. There is much more there.. Indoor/outdoor pool, game room (real game room), shops, a deli, a bakery (from what I hear), tennis courts, private sundeck, grill and bar outside, and an exercise room.

If you want views of the Bay and the Ocean, check out the Quay. They claim the rooms are ocean front, but they are not. You get a direct view to the building beside the Quay and you look right, or left, depending on which side of the building you are on, to look at the ocean and the other way to see the bay. Its kind of nice to see both. But they Quay has NO rooms that are either ocean front or bay front.
