I will be traveling down for business the first week of June and my family will be joining me the following weekend. What is safe to do weeknights alone?
What is good for the kids on the weekend? ( 8 %26amp; 13, girls)
Thanks

Will you be staying in the downtown area? If so, you will have easy access to plenty of restaurants and shops. This won%26#39;t be particularly exciting or different from MA probably, but it could keep you entertained. There%26#39;s also the AFI theater in the downtown area which would be definitely worth visiting. On the weekends, the best thing is probably to hop on the metro to see some of the sites in DC. DC itself is only a mile or 2 away, but the touristy areas are about 15-20 minutes via metro.

Thank you,
I%26#39;ll be downtown.
The theatre looks great.
I have 2 nights planned already with a friend in Va. that works in MD., and an old friend of my boss in D.C.
I may have one night to do my own thing. On the weekend I definately want to go into D.C. with the kids. Hopefully the zoo, and a duck tour or something.
Would you say it%26#39;s safe for me to travel the Metro unaccompanied?
I know it%26#39;s probably much like traveliong the t in Boston. Is there any place I should avoid?
Yes, it%26#39;s definitely safe for you to travel on the metro alone. There are plenty of places that I%26#39;d suggest you avoid going alone to in DC, but I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;d have any reason to go to them in the first place.
Thank you very much!
