We are staying in Annapolis for one night on Sat Sept 15th on our way to Ocean City, MD. Any suggestions on must see or do. Probably won%26#39;t arrive til 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Will be leaving by noon or 1 on Sun.
Saturday night in Annapolis
in the evening, you could just have a delightful time bar-hopping, window-shopping, %26amp; looking at the boats %26amp; water.
if you want more...check the schedule for the ramshead %26amp; see who%26#39;s in concert that night. or if you like jazz, 49 west is a nice place!
Saturday night in Annapolis
It depends allot on where you are staying and what interests you.
Dogsmom%26#39;s advice is allot of fun. Saturday nights are prime time for barhopping and people watching around the harbor. As an out-towner, I would suggest including Puser%26#39;s Landing in the Marriott as one your stops. It is Annapolis%26#39;s only real dock bar.
If you have kids, the Harbour thing still works just substitute ice cream for drinks.
If you are looking for something more upscale, you could have cocktails in the lounge at the Chart House and dinner at O%26#39;Leary%26#39;s, the Rockfish, or Lewne%26#39;s.
On Sunday, you want to consider Bay Bridge traffic. However, usually, mid-day Sundays are not too bad, especially in September. If you want to see more Annapolis before you leave, there is plenty to do. Walking tours, trolley tours, boat tours, historic homes, shopping, etc. Another option would be to get over the Bridge early and spend some time on the Eastern shore, St. Michaels, Chestertown, Oxford, etc.
Thanks for the info. I was doing some research %26amp; discovered that there is a home Navy football game that night !! No wonder the Marriot Waterfront is booked
