Nothing that%26#39;s really close to a true ';patio'; that I can think of--but here are some al fresco suggestions:

In the ';new'; downtown, Eggspectation on the Ellsworth strip has outdoor tables. Food is decent, but service was horrendous a few weeks ago. Some of the fast-casual places along Ellsworth (Noodles %26amp; Co., Potbelly) and Fenton (Baja Fresh) also have outdoor tables.

Across Georgia Avenue (on Ramsey Ave.), Cubano%26#39;s (Cuban) has outdoor tables. Across the street from Cubano%26#39;s, Mi Rancho has great Mexican and a large screened-in room.

I ate at mi Rancho%26#39;s last time down there. it was great! I had a taco salad and a corona.

If you go south on Georgia Ave, from downtown Silver Spring, Piratz Tavern has a patio in back. The food is just OK, but the atmosphere is nice. It%26#39;s pretty new, so there aren%26#39;t any reviews on tripadvisor yet.

Also, at Georgia and Sligo Ave, there is a very nice and reasonable Vietnamese restaurant called My Le that has an outdoor patio. Doesn%26#39;t have much of a view, but the food is excellent.
