Planning a Reunion in OC

Where would a large family reunion (40 or more rooms) get the best rates in the summer at a really nice place. This would be for next year. June isn%26#39;t possible. We would stay 4 to 5 nights. Must be beach front. Who should we talk to.

Planning a Reunion in OC

It%26#39;s tough to make suggestions without knowing a few things:

What is your budget per room, how many in each room %26amp; how many nights are you planning?

If you could get rooms that would normally be $350 for a group rate of $250 in a ';really nice place,'; would that be affordable to the members of your group?

Would you be doing this mid-week or over the weekend?

Do you have the ability to commit to such a large number of rooms with a substantial deposit this far in advance?

Given that this is next year, you could probably have your pick of any hotel in town, but I%26#39;d start with the OC Convention %26amp; Visitors Bureau with a group this size (http://www.ococean.com), follow the ';Conventions and Meetings'; link, and request a proposal. I suspect you%26#39;ll need meeting space as well as hotel rooms.

If money were no object and I had my choice of any place in town to book a large group, I%26#39;d lean towards the Dunes Manor or the Hilton Suites.

Have you thought about moving it to Bethany Beach? It is on the coast about 15 minutes north of OC. More of a sedate area %26amp; its cheaper. You can rent HUGE houses next to one another right on the beach for probably less than your hotel rooms. beach-net.com/crowleybb/bethany/bethany.html
