Days Inn Hagerstown - Horror Hotel

It%26#39;s my mission in life to warn others of bad motels I%26#39;ve experienced, and the Days Inn Hagerstown is the #1 worst motel!

Just because a motel is part of a ';chain'; does not mean that it has standards. I found this out last October when my boyfriend and I were travelling from Williamsburg back home to Cleveland, Ohio. We decided to stay in Hagerstown and since it was only for an overnight place to get some sleep we figured that the Days Inn would be okay - that%26#39;s before I discovered Trip Advisor!

You can read my description of that night on the Days Inn Hagerstown listing (titled: sleeping in your car would be better), but my rant on this forum is that places like this are allowed to exist not only by the Days Inn franchise, but by the health board of Hagerstown. The lesson? ALWAYS check trip advisor for the true story instead of a glossy flier or website that advertises falsly.

Thanks for the info. Another Days Inn that I don%26#39;t see how its stays open or retains its franchise is the Days Inn on Keller Ave in Lancaster, PA. I have never stayed there (nor do I ever care to), but I have heard nothing but absolutely negative and disgusting things about the hotel. I wouldn%26#39;t even recommend this Days Inn to my worst enemy!

If you are looking for a nice, clean place to stay in Hagerstown, try either one of the two Hampton Inns, the Plaza Hotel, or even the BW Venice Hotel. Does anyone know what the Country Inn and Suites is like? There are aren%26#39;t any reviews of it on here, so if anyone has stayed there recently and would like to comment on the hotel, please feel free to do so.

Sorry, don%26#39;t know about the Country Inn and Suites, but most folks that pass through on business prefer the Hampton Inn on the North Side of Hagerstown--Maugins Ave. Exit off of I-81, I think. They also have a very nice free breakfast.

Im here on business 3 times a week in the Washington Metropolitan area, and I must say after staying in all the hotels in this town and near Frederick, MD, I absolutely and only prefer the Comfort Suites Hagerstown. They have a great cozy place, with a delicious breakfast.I consider this place, my home away from home. Its really that good.

I%26#39;m flying to MD and staying at the County Inn and Suites tonight for 3 nights (my daughter%26#39;s high school graduation). I will report back on how it is. It%26#39;s fairly new and right at the Valley Mall, so it should be nice.

Comments about hotels in the forum are nice, but it%26#39;s a better idea to post your full review (with photos if you have them) in the Traveler Reviews section of TA. That%26#39;s the first place I (and I suspect most TA users) typically go to find out about a specific property and where praise and warnings to stay away will get the most visibility.
